Phlox
Phlox Phlox paniculata is a common garden plant
that has escaped to flourish in the wild. The
flowers are formed of five flat petals that are
joined at the base into a narrow tube that hides
the stamens and pistil. Each flower has five stamens
and the style is divided into three prongs. Heads
of loosely clustered flowers make a splash of
colour in a garden border.
