Cypress Vine
Cypress Vine, Ipomoea quamoclit is considered by
some to be in a separate genus Quamoclit vulgaris. It
has slender twining stems, lobed leaves and red flowers
with protruding stamens. It is a tropical American
species that has escaped into fields and waste places.
