Forsythia
Forsythia (Forsythia) is a Eurasian shrub with
golden-yellow flowers which was named after a British
royal gardener. It belongs to the Olive Family, which
some botanists include in the order Gentianales. The
flowers open in the spring before the leaves appear and
produce a spectacular show of blossom on gracefully
drooping stems. Each flower has four narrow yellow
petals and two stamens.
