Butter-and-eggs
Butter-and-eggs Linaria vulgaris is a toadflax that
grows wild by roadsides and in waste places throughout
North America. It has a flowering spike with yellow
flowers each having a swollen orange "palate" closing
the mouth of the flower suggesting yellow butter and
orange egg-yolks.
