Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy Rhus radicans contains toxicodendrol which is an oil that
irritates the skin and may cause a severe rash. There are two forms of the
plant, a low-growing variety and a climbing vine. Each leaf is divided into
three dark-green shiny leaflets which are often drooping in appearance.
Small greenish-white flowers grow in clusters from the leaf axils and the
berry-like fruits are eaten by birds.
