Family Hippocastanaceae
The Horse Chestnut or Buckeye Family (Hippocastanaceae)
includes trees and shrubs which have leaves in opposite
pairs. Each leaf is divided into leaflets that spread
from one point like the fingers of a hand (palmate).
Flowers grow in large upright clusters and fruits have
a few large shiny seeds.
