Early Saxifrage
Early Saxifrage Saxifraga virginiensis grows on rock ledges and in
open woods. The leaves form a basal rosette and they are oval-shaped with
toothed margins. The flowering stem is sticky and hairy and its branches
end in small clusters of white flowers with five petals and ten yellow
stamens.
