Mock Orange, Syringa Philadelphus coronarius is a European native cultivated as an ornamental shrub. It has a brown peeling bark and oval leaves. The clusters of white flowers are very fragrant and unlike those of the Hydrangea, they are all fertile. There are more than 50 other species of Philadelphus in Asia and North America. [CH] {FB}
