Monkshood
Monkshood Aconitum napellus is named for the hooded shape of its
violet-blue flower. The hood is a large sepal that covers two of the
petals. The leaves are typical of the Buttercup Family being deeply
divided. This is a woodland flower that blooms in late summer.
