Early Meadow-rue
Early Meadow-rue Thalictrum dioicum blooms early in the spring in
eastern North America. The greenish-brown flowers and leaves have a
distinctive drooping appearance. The flowers have no petals but have four
or five sepals, and stamens that hang down and give the flowers much of their
colour. Male and female flowers are borne on separate plants (dioecious).
This plant grows in moist woods of eastern North America.
