CREEPING BUTTERCUP Creeping Buttercup Ranunculus repens has creeping stems from which the leaves and flowering stalks grow upwards. The flowers are shallow yellow cups much like those of Common Buttercup. The subdivided leaves are mottled with pale blotches. Creeping Buttercup is a European species which grows in wet fields and waste places throughout North America. [CH] {GW}
