Canada Anemone Anemone canadensis like some other members of the Buttercup Family has no petals. What appear to be petals are really sepals and in Canada Anemone these are white and there are five of them cupping the yellow stamens. Leaves which grow on the flowering stem have no stalks (sessile) and they are deeply toothed. This plant grows abundantly in damp meadows. [CH] {GW}
