Sheep Sorrel
Sheep sorrel Rumex acetosella is a Eurasian species
that has become naturalised throughout North America
and can be found growing in fields and along roadsides. It
has small arrowhead-shaped leaves with the barbs of
the arrowhead spreading out. The leaves are bitter to
the taste. The greenish flowering sprays often turn a
reddish brown.
