Buckwheat
Buckwheat Fagopyrum comes from Asia and is
cultivated in many parts of the world as food for cattle
and for its seeds which can be ground into flour. The
leaves are shaped like arrow-heads and the stems are
swollen at the points where the leaf bases are attached.
The flowers are whitish or pink in small sprays at the
top of the reddish stems and bees produce a dark honey
from them.
