HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Order Plantaginales

Plantains growing in salt marsh Order Plantaginales has just one family, the Plantain Family (Plantaginaceae). Plantains can be found world-wide, often growing as weeds. The leaves are peculiar for a dicotyledon as they have more or less parallel veins instead of a midrib with veins branching off it. The flowers are small and the stamens stick out of the flowering head, allowing the pollen to be blown by the wind to other plants. [CH] {EN}
