Venus's-flytrap
Venus's-flytrap Dionaea muscipula grows wild only
in a small area of the
eastern United States. It has an extraordinary trap
for catching flies
consisting of a leaf with two lobes that are hinged
together in such a way
that they can snap shut. The margins of the leaf
have long spines which
cage the insect until it is digested. MORE!
