Family Onagraceae
The Evening-primrose Family includes mostly
herbaceous plants with some
woody species like Fuchsia. The flowers grow singly
and the majority have
flower parts in fours, 4 petals, 4 sepals and 4 or 8
stamens. The stigma in
the centre of a flower has 4 lobes. Many species
have large showy flowers
to attract insect pollinators.
