Common Evening Primrose
Common Evening-primrose Oenothera biennis can be found growing along
roadsides and in waste places. Its large yellow flowers are typical of the
Evening-primrose Family having four sepals, four petals and a stigma in the
shape of a cross. The flower does not last long, closing after midday.
