Order Magnoliales
There are more than 3,000 species in the Magnolia Order (Magnoliales)
divided between ten Families. They are all trees, shrubs or woody climbing
vines and they represent the most primitive of the flowering plants
(Angiosperms). Their ancestors form a link between the ancient woody
Gymnosperms and the more highly-evolved flowering plants.
