Tulip Tree
TulipTree Liriodendron tulipifera is a native of eastern United
States. It is a large tree, reaching in some cases to 60m. The 5-pointed
leaf is a characteristic shape, which looks as if its tip has been chopped
off. The tulip-shaped flowers are greeny-yellow and have 3 sepals, 6 petals
and a mass of stamens surrounding a group of pistils.
