Avocado
Avocado Persea americana is an evergreen shrub or tree that grows in
tropical America and is cultivated for its pear-shaped fruit that is rich in
oil, protein and some vitamins. The flowers are small and greenish and the fruits
have a firm flesh that is used in salads or as a source of protein in
soups. Each fruit has a single woody seed which is not edible.
