HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Viper's Bugloss

Viper's Bugloss flowering tip of stem Viper's Bugloss Echium vulgare is a rather coarse bristly plant of roadsides and waste places. It grows half a metre or more high and has a flowering spike with small side branchlets on which the flowers open one at a time. These little uncurling flowering tips are a recognisable feature of the Forget-me-not Family. The flowers are purplish-blue and somewhat irregular in shape with projecting red stamens. [CH] {GW}
