Garden Verbena Verbena hybrida has been developed from South American species of Verbena. The flowers cluster in showy heads in a variety of colours and most have a sweet perfume. Many members of the Vervain Family have paired leaves with toothed margins and stems that are square in cross-section. Species of Verbena that grow wild in North America have long spikes of small flowers. [CH] {OX}
