Common Thyme
Common Thyme Thymus vulgaris is a small branching shrubby plant with
woody stems and many, small, pointed leaves. The flowers are purplish and
shaped with upper and lower lips like other plants in the Mint Family.
Thyme and also the related species Sweet Basil Occimum basilicum
produce aromatic oils which make them popular as pot-herbs.
