Order Juglandales
Plants in Order Juglandales are trees with compound leaves. A compound
leaf is made up of several leaflets attached to a common stalk. In this
Order, the leaves are pinnately compound which means that the leaflets are
arranged in two rows along the stalk, as in this picture. There are two
Families in Order Juglandales and the plants have fruits that are either
small with wings for wind dispersal, or large nuts which are carried away
by animals.
