Yellow Wood-sorrel
Yellow Wood-sorrel Oxalis europaea is a perennial
plant that grows up
from underground stems. It is a widespread weed that
has clover-like leaves
with three heart-shaped leaflets that are sometimes
folded along their
midribs. The flowers have five sepals and five yellow
petals. A similar
species Oxalis stricta has seedpods that are bent
sharply upwards at the
ends of their stalks.
