Geranium
Geranium Pelargonium hortorum gets its generic
name from "pelargos" the Greek word for "stork"
because the beaked fruit looks like a stork's head.
Many varieties of geranium are cultivated for their red,
pink or white flowers that make a bright splash of
colour in borders and window-boxes.
