Red Oak
Red Oak Quercus rubra has leaves with sharp-pointed lobes. This tree
grows in the deciduous forest region of North America often in rocky areas.
The flowers of the oak are very small, the male flowers hanging in
catkin-like clusters and the female flowers like tiny buds. The fruit is an
acorn in a shallow cup.
