Bird's-foot Trefoil Lotus corniculatus makes a colourful display along roadsides and in waste places in the early summer. The flowers are a bright yellow and each leaf is divided into a group of three, plus two more little leaflets. The cluster of long thin fruits produced from the flowers resembles a bird's foot.
