SPURGE FLOWERS Euphorbia polychroma belongs to the Spurge Family of mainly tropical plants. Species of Euphorbia have peculiar flowers that have no petals or sepals but are just tiny cups holding either stamens or pistils. These much-reduced flowers are surrounded by specialised leaves or bracts that may be coloured and sometimes look petal-like. The species illustrated has yellow bracts that look like flowers.
