Kinnikinnick, Bearberry Arctostaphylos uva-ursi is a woody creeping plant that grows over rocks and stony ground and makes an attractive ground cover. It has reddish-brown stems, evergreen leathery leaves and small pinkish flowers. The fruits are bright red berries which bears apparently like to eat. [CH] {SH}
