Order Celastrales
There are twelve families of woody trees and shrubs in Order Celastrales.
Most plants in this group have simple (undivided) leaves and regular
flowers with petals joined together. This Order has about 2,000 species
including Holly trees in Family Celastraceae. One South American species of
Holly Ilex paraguariensis is the source of mate, which is a drink
known as Paraguay Tea.
