Barrel Cactus Flowers
The name Ferocactus means "savage cactus" because Barrel Cactus has
fierce hooked spines surrounded by sharp straight ones. Barrel cacti
produce beautiful flowers and some of the plants lean towards the south
giving them the name "compass barrels".
