Bladder Campion
Bladder Campion Silene cucubalus is a widespread plant of fields and
roadsides. The sepals are joined to form a swollen veined sac reminiscent
of a miniature melon and five white petals spread out from the top. Each
petal is so deeply notched that it is almost divided in two. In this
picture the petals are shrivelling up after flowering.
