KOHLRABI Kohlrabi Brassica oleracea var. caulorapa has a swollen stem that may be peeled and eaten. When the kohlrabi plants are young, the purplish-green rounded stems are tender and good to eat. Later they become woody especially at the root end of the stem. [CH] {FW}
