Horseweed Erigeron canadensis is a tall weed of waste places. The stems are covered with narrow leaves and small greenish flowers are clustered in loose heads. The flowers do not open out like typical daisies but remain compressed and produce feathery seeds which are dispersed by the wind. [CH] {GW}
