China Aster Callistephus chinensis as its name suggests, is a Chinese species. It does not belong to the genus Aster but it is a close relative. The original plant had purple flowering heads but lots of varieties have been developed in a wide range of different colours. There is also a great range of shapes from little button-like heads to large shaggy mops. [CH] {OX}
