Fronds of Spinulose Woodfern Spinulose Woodfern Dryopteris spinulosa grows in moist shady woodlands. It has delicate lacy fronds which grow up in circular clusters and the fruitdots containing the spores can be found on the underside of the fertile leaves. Each fruit dot is covered by a kidney-shaped "indusium". There are many varieties of this fern. [CH] {FG}
