Lady Fern Athyrium or Asplenium filix-femina is quite a large lacy fern that likes moist shady conditions. The tips of some fronds flop over and by the end of the growing season the plant can look quite raggedy. Two other species of Athyrium still have the common name Spleenwort as they were once included in the genus Asplenium. [CH] {FG}
