Bladder Ferns
The Bladder Ferns Cystopteris are delicate ferns that may be found
growing in rocky crevices in moist and shaded areas. The name Bladder Fern
comes from the bladder-like coverings of the fruit dots. The Bulblet Fern
Cystopteris bulbifera has little rounded knobs of tissue which grow
under some of the leaflets and these can drop off and grow into new plants.
