Nucleus of a Plant Cell
Shown here is a diagram
of a cell with its round
nucleus containing chromatin
and a nucleolus (little nucleus).
The chromatin is the genetic
material DNA (deoxyribonucleic
acid) which controls all that
goes on in the cell and encodes
a complete set of information
for making the plant. When the
cell divides the DNA forms an
exact copy of itself so the
daughter cells each carry on
a complete set of genes.
