Wolf's-milk Slime
Wolf's-milk Slime Lycogala epidendrum produces
what look like pink or brownish puffballs about a
centimetre across. If the young balls are broken they
exude a pinkish paste which gives the slime mold its
other name Toothpaste Slime. It is commonly seen
growing on logs.
