Scrambled-egg Slime
The cushion-shaped mass of Scrambled-egg Slime
Fuligo septica is slimy and yellowish and looks rather like
its name. It is a common slime mold often seen in damp
woods in spring and fall. It darkens with age and develops
a cake-like crust.
