Slimy-banded Cort
When it emerges from the ground Slimy-banded Cort Cortinarius
collinitus seems to be enclosed in a bubble. This is its
slimy veil which leaves bluish-white bands around the stalk after
the membrane ruptures. The orange-brown cap is shiny with slime.
