Jack O'Lantern Omphalotus olearius is a poisonous fungus often
mistaken for the Chanterelle so it is also called the False
Chanterelle. Fresh specimens in a dark room give off an eerie
phosphorescent glow. It is known as one of the "ghosts of the
forest".
