Orange Earth Tongue Microglossum rufum is a small
fungus only a few centimetres tall. It grows on rotten
logs or amongst moss and leaves on the ground. The
mushrooms are like small orange tongue-shaped clubs.
When mature, the spores are shot out of the asci into
the air.
