White Morel
The White Morel Morchella deliciosa grows near
trees and may be found in old orchards. Like all true
morels it is very good to eat. The mushrooms have
distinctive white ridges with brown pits between them and
if cut in half they are seen to be hollow. In Michigan a
race is held to see who can collect the largest number of
morels in 90 minutes.
