HELP INDEX NEXT UP PREVIOUS FEEDBACK ATG Is DNA Life?

DNA is an extremely long, chain-like molecule (polymer) consisting of two coiled strands of sugar (double helix) held together by proteins (amino acids). DNA can reproduce by "unzipping" its pair of strands and reforming two pairs of strands from one. These new strands are identical to the original except where a mistake has occurred. It is these "mistakes" which are the driving force behind evolution. [NS] {NR}
