Cell Development
An individual organism, by definition, must have some boundary or wall which describes its "self".
These structures occur naturally in non-living things: geodes, cavities, caves, bubbles.
Logically single cells must have evolved before more complex organisms.
As organisms developed the reservoir of cellular material became more organized,
the DNA residing in a nucleus, the "digestive system" in organelles called mitochondrians.
