The rotating wheel of cilia, creates a gentle current, stirring organisms. These minute organisms are eaten by the rotifer. Rotifers have both a mouth and digestive tract. Rotifers are found around the world. They are most common in freshwater, however they also occur in marine environments, lichen and moist moss. [BM] {EB}
